About

SiteVector is being developed as a phone-first browser tool to replace the paper level book. Its first viable focus is differential levelling and a guided four-reading two-peg test.

The planned levelling journey runs from setup through backsights, intermediate sights, change points and foresights, with live reductions and checks, close-out and reports. The direction also includes original observations, reasoned corrections and instrument and test traceability. Cross-sections, polar surveying and broader surveying extras come later as the core proves what is useful.

Roadmap

This is a working direction for the product. The first slice keeps the levelling record and instrument check together before broader surveying work is explored.

JourneyField start to later scope

Record a levelling run

Start with the field record.

Check the instrument

Test before relying on a result.

Preserve the field record

Keep the reason for each change.

Review and output

Close out and report the run.

Connect and expand later

Explore wider surveying needs.
